God has called us into His great story. A beautiful story in which He is intimately involved.
Yesterday, I had the honor to hear His calling over my small group. He has blessed each one with desires and plans that are far greater than anything they could imagine on their own. And in each one, He has placed a purpose.
"For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11
To give you hope and a future. ~ When God created the Heavens and the earth, He saw all that He had made, and it was very good.
And when He looks at you, He sees a life that is very good.
Yes, He is interested in your life too! The little and the large. He is interested in every unique detail, every precious moment. And He has a beautiful plan to help you in every step of your life.
So, what has He called you to?
Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Psalm 37:4
Yes, the desires of your heart! Not only is He interested in every unique detail of your life, but He is intricately involved as well! And He wants to give you the full life He has designed. The first step is to delight IN HIM! Oh Beautiful, the gifts He gives when you turn to Him! Those desires that You have inspiring you inside? The ones bubbling up that you cannot contain? Those are from ALMIGHTY GOD!
"But I don't know what God has called me to!"
It's okay if you don't know, start small:
But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Matthew 6:33
Seek Him first, His Kingdom. He will open the doors that need to be opened and close those that need to shut.
Then:
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:5-6
Trust Him, the same God who placed every star in the sky and called it by name is intricately involved in every breath you breathe. Yes, you CAN trust HIM!
Finally GO. Place one foot in front of the other and go. Learn all you can learn. Breathe in all of His creation that you can breathe. And LISTEN for His call.
